from a friend
You have worked the engraving with great dedication,
in what has been a strong tendency of the Cuban plastic arts
(...) In your drawings I found a poetic subtlety of quality (...)
Because there are two aspects that oppose
and it is from such opposition that springs sort of a magic,
which surprised and convinced me:
the great size of the drawings on one hand and the fineness of the ink lines on the other one.
It is a game of contraries that surprisingly is discovered from afar
because suddenly the contours of the figure fades.
This effect could be a defect but it is not in your case.
Besides you also achieve this effect with an admirable rigor
because you structure the elements by means of a visible plot
which doesn't leave space to error and much less to corrections.
In any event, not to improvise corrections.
As you are a good camellador (cameleer),
(in Colombia we call this way to those that work a lot and don’t spend time even in drinking water),
I am sure that I will receive new surprises.
